Our Team
Our team has breadth and depth, able to assist nonprofits in all aspects of organizational life.
For the past 40 years, AMY RASSEN has provided leadership and vision to a number of the most innovative nonprofit organizations committed to improving the lives of men, women and children. She founded Rassen and Associates in 2006 to help both large and small nonprofits pursue their missions using cutting-edge, sustainable practices and a governance structure that reflects their vision. Amy has served as Interim Executive Director for a number of faltering organizations to prepare them for new leadership, started a national foundation, supported in revamping the healthcare system for prisoners in the state of California, and developed pioneering programs that have been replicated around the country. She is also a licensed clinical social worker.
ELISA RASSEN is a strategic thinker and writer. Her work ranges from white papers to grant proposals to research reports, and across this diversity of projects is a common theme—partnering with organizations to articulate their most important messages in the most powerful way possible to the specific audience they strive to reach. In each project, Elisa guides a collaborative process to create an effective plan for the project that includes clear goals, effective strategies that will lead to achieving those goals, and key milestones and deliverables. Throughout the course of the project, Elisa works to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are met and weaves diverse perspectives into a unified vision. Elisa’s fundraising accomplishments include over $20 million garnered for nonprofit organizations in higher education, K-12 education, workforce development, youth development, and other fields. Her writing has been published numerous times, with recent work exploring cutting-edge research into community college student success, innovative approaches in K-12 education to closing the achievement gap, and best practices in preparing the workforce of tomorrow.
